What We Treat

I truly believe if it weren't for The Control Center my daughter would be dead by now. For the first time in almost 2 years, I'm starting to believe she'll actually have a long and productive life. Dr. Karim is an incredible psychiatrist and he has an excellent ability to match the right therapist with each patient. He really listened to what my daughter needed and assembled a team of experts to address her heroin abuse, trauma and depression. After my daughter dropped out of several rehabs, I was so relieved that she finally found the right program. You could not find a more helpful outpatient center. I am so grateful to have my daughter back. Thank you!

I am what they call a “rehab hopper” and I’ve gone to 12 programs. I would do so well at an inpatient rehab but as soon as I got out, I couldn’t handle real life. I finally decided to try something different and did Control Center’s intensive outpatient program. It gave me highly structured treatment but it was combined with me staying at home, holding down my job and testing out all the new skills I was learning. I was finally leading a normal life instead of being confined at a rehab. You don’t need to be isolated to get better! Being at The Control Center taught me that if you create an artificial place to recover, it prevents you from having exposure to reality and working through real stressors. I’m so glad that I found the balance of comprehensive therapy while also finding time to live, work and develop relationships outside of the treatment center.
